Caitlin Furbee/DESIGN MANAGER MORGANTOWN
After earning her Interior Design degree from West Virginia University, Caitlin Furbee jumped right into her dream career. Previously working for a design firm in Northern Virginia she moved back to Morgantown where her career with Wells Home Furnishing finally began.
Complimenting her passion for design - her design specialty is helping people turn their house into a space that is not only beautiful but functional for everyday life. Caitlins design background and keen eye for pattern and color help put together a one of a kind look for each client. What she loves most about her work is working with her clients to make their dream rooms a reality.
CAITLIN'S RECENT WORK
After graduating from the University of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design, Catherine began working for Boll Furniture Company in 1993, where she designed rooms for residential and commercial clients. Catherine began working for Wells Home Furnishings in 2006.
With a combined 25 years of experience in interior design she enjoys the entire process from planning rooms to choosing the proper frames, fabrics and accessories to complete a room. Catherine loves color, and is thrilled when she can complete the process for clients that turns their home into a comfortable and unique place to live.
Catherine is a mother of two and resides in Cross Lanes with her husband, Larry and her Bengal cat, Cleopatra.
CATHERINE'S RECENT WORK
From the perfect use of colors and shapes of a floral design project to the colors and patterns in a well designed family room, Holly Alford has been creating beautiful and comfortable living spaces since she graduated from college.
Holly grew up in Sod, WV where her mother owned and operated a floral shop. After graduating from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN with a degree in Psychology, Holly returned home to work with her mother designing floral arrangements for all occasions. Wanting to expand into home interior design, Holly began working at Wells. After two years on the design team, Holly became the Merchandise Manager, where she helps select and buy merchandise and decorate the Wells showroom in the Charleston store. In addition to her duties as merchandiser Holly continues to work with clients because this is what she truly enjoys. Not only does she love the design process but she tries to ensure that her clients enjoy the process as well, from the selection of their furniture to the moment the project is completed. She finds it rewarding knowing that she has the ability to meet the needs of each customer by helping them create a reality that is attainable at any budget.
HOLLY'S RECENT WORK
LeeAnn’s 30 year career in the furniture industry has included anything and everything design and furniture related. Her formal education began at Fairmont State College where her focus was on Architecture, Art and Interior Design. Her first job out of college was an interior design position at Sanders Floor Covering/ The Furniture Stop, a Morgantown family owned and operated home furnishings center. She quickly moved into the position of managing and buying for the store. Building upon this experience, she pursued opportunities to advance her career by leaving the area. During the next decade she had the opportunity to work with clients designing rooms and homes in various geographical regions and states.
LeeAnn's career successes further led her to Consulting home furnishing retailers in how to improve and grow business It is this broad knowledge base, in the furniture and design industry, which allows her to best help her clients make informed, smart furniture buying decisions. It is her passion for design that drives her to help her clients create beautiful, functional, smart spaces. Her knowledge of furniture and creative design are evident as she helps her clients feel at ease, making the designing and buying experience effortless and enjoyable.
LEANNE'S RECENT WORK
Paula Gaal/DESIGN MANAGER CHARLESTON
Paula Gaal has always remembered being interested in interior design. She pursued this dream by attending Marshall University and receiving her degree in Interior Design. She has been working with clients at Wells since 2009 and has been the Manager for the Design team for the last two years. In her current role, Paula continues to work with her clients as well as mentor the other team members and assist them with design challenges and ideas. She is an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers.
Doing what she loves to do every day is extremely fulfilling for Paula. She enjoys taking her client’s vision for their rooms and helping them transform it into reality. Her skills in the use of color and pattern help create spaces that customers not only love but are practical and functional.
PAULA'S RECENT WORK
Robinson Vanater, or better known as Rob to his many friends and happy design clients, is a 2008 Graduate of Marshall University, where he earned his B.A. in Fine Arts with a focus in Computer Graphics and Advertisement.
Rob’s entrepreneurial spirit along with his education and a passion for design, led him to start-up his own Handyman business. His services included the maintenance and upkeep of private and commercial residences. He also worked framing houses which allowed him to gain hands-on experience of home construction.
Rob brought with him experience in architectural and structural design of a home as well as home construction when he joined the Wells design team in 2016, . This experience along with his tremendous passion for great design gives Rob a unique ability to help his clients create interiors that balance structure and design.
