At Wells, giving back is more than just words; it's a way of life. We are deeply committed to enriching the communities where we live and work.
Partnerships and Donations
We proudly partner with local organizations to create positive change. Our collaborations include:
- Supporting the Kanawha/Charleston Humane Association through donation drives and adoption events
- Providing warm coats to families in need through our annual winter coat drive
- Partnering with Mountain Mission to combat hunger and poverty through food bank support and furniture donations
- Enhancing our community's aesthetics through the Corridor G Triangle beautification project
- Inspiring generosity with our "Design A Room" grand prize, benefiting the United Way of Central West Virginia
Employee Involvement
Our team is actively engaged in the community. We serve on various boards, including Metro 911, and have previously contributed to the CURA and Thomas Memorial Foundation. Additionally, our employees dedicate their time to volunteering with local organizations.
Special Events
We believe in creating opportunities to give back while engaging with our community. Our annual Anniversary Celebration brings together our customers, employees, and local organizations for a fun-filled event featuring fundraising and adoption initiatives.
During the fall, we promote our Stressless Charity Event! For a $50 donation, customers enjoy significant savings on Stressless furniture while supporting a local cause.

Currently In Place
- Cardboard recycling program – recycle cardboard to help eliminate waste going to landfill
- Glass bottle recycling – recycle used “coke” bottles to help eliminate waste going to landfill
- Re-use of foam wrapping materials
- Increased effort to buy domestic products – decrease in fuel usage for overseas transportation
In Development
- Eliminate plastic drinking cups and use glass mugs
- Use eco-friendly cleaning products
- Develop and train associates in a program to educate them and their customers on selecting and purchasing eco-friendly products
- Use eco-friendly products in construction, eg. paints, glues, woods, etc.
